Abstract
I swam in the waters surrounding Theresa Marie (Terri) Schiavo at the end of her life. The state had appointed me to serve as Ms. Schiavo’s special guardian ad litem, reporting to Governor Bush and the courts in what was probably the most public death of any private person in history.
