Abstract
This paper examined the financial habits, personal credit knowledge, and debt of university students by surveying 170 students at the University of South Florida St Petersburg. The relationships between financial habits, personal credit knowledge, and debt were all examined. Basic demographic information, such as age, income, major, years of professional work experience, and gender, were also collected to see if these variables could be accurate predictors of financial habits, knowledge, and debt. Even though a significant relationship could not be found between financial habits, knowledge and debt, there were some other significant relationships including, gender and financial habits and the number of credit cards by class rank.
