Abstract
A letter from Albert Hafner to his fiancée Elizabeth Chandler in Massachusetts. He thanks Chandler for her birthday gift to him, which was a pennant for the canoe he named after her. He tells her about his birthday and his experience editing the newspaper himself for the first time. He sends her peaches he has grown to share with her friends.
