Abstract
A cartoon referencing the 1948 Presidential election. A sherif is seen smoking a cigarette between a Democratic donkey and a Republican elephant. The elephant says "I'd like to warn you Sheriff, if you see a little runt with long ears and a loud bray around, you'd better watch him. He's a bad character." The donkey says "Psst, Sheriff, I just wanted to tip you off. There's a big fat guy around blowin' his top. Thought I'd better tell ya, he's dangerous."
