Abstract
A cartoon in reference to Joseph Stalin's double-speak. He is seen holding a flower to the United States that is to represent "Withdrawal of war mongering charges against U.S." Stalin has a paintbrush behind his back along with a paint pail labelled "The Old Red Vilification Technique."

Stalin is presenting a flower to Sam in one hand but keeps his other hand behind his back, holding a paint brush, while Uncle Sam wonders, "Gosh! Wonder if he's had a change of heart." A bucket of paint behind Stalin's feet reads, "The old Red vilification technique."
