A cartoon in reference to a ballooning U.S. federal deficit. A man holds a giant ink bottle labelled "$3,029,000,000" federal deficit with the speech bubble, "See, it's less than I figured." A man looks on and says "Can't say as it looks exactly pink to me yet."
Alt Text
A cartoon illustration of Dwight Eisenhower carries an enormous ink bottle labeled "$3,029,000,000 FEDERAL DEFICIT" toward a second man while saying, "See. It's less than I figured." The second man, labeled "the guy who foots the bill," looks at the ink bottle doubtfully, declaring, "Can't say as it looks exactly pink to me yet."
