Abstract
A cartoon with a modified quote from "The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" by Edward Fitzgerald: "Come fill the cup that clears today of past regrets and future fears: tomorrow, why tomorrow we may be ourselves with yesterday's seven thousand years." A stereotypical Middle Eastern man is sitting on a rug while reason hands a three-spouted jar. Spouts are labelled "Non-Aggression Pact," "Peace," and "Economic Cooperation." Possibly in reference to the "Eisenhower Doctrine".
