Abstract

A squawking bird with U.S.S.R. on its chest sits on a perch with "Summit" written across. Behind the Soviet bird is a bald eagle with a paper labelled "Basic Issues." The Soviet bird's perch includes a bucket of "Seeds of Dissension." This cartoon most likely references Nikita Khrushchev's planned visit to the United States.
