Abstract
Homes in the Scrub community of Tampa, Florida. The Scrub community was a historically Black neighborhood that developed in the late 1800s. Established by formerly enslaved African Americans, the Scrub was once a vibrant community despite its poverty and overcrowded conditions and was largely demolished during mid-20th century urban renewal efforts.
