Abstract

A field notebook of ornithologist Lyle S. Hubbard, including an index of birds observed for the year 1956, with additional observations on weather, animals, and bird behavior. Identified locations include Florida, Key West, Dry Tortugas, Bush Key, Homestead, Marathon, Rancho, Ohio, West Virginia, and South Carolina. Following the annual observations are findings from the Christmas Bird Count and an annotated checklist of South Florida Birds.
