Abstract

A limpkin (Aramus guarauna) nest with seven eggs photographed in 1932, when the limpkin found in the Caribbean, Central America, and Florida was known as a separate species named Aramus pictus. Nest is surrounded by grass. Photograph was taken on St. John’s Marsh, 4 miles west of Vero Beach, Florida.
