Abstract

A killdeer (Charadrius vociferus) nest south of Turkey Hammock. Note on back reads, "Killdeer set 2/4 collected April 17, 1951, about one mile south of Turkey Hammock, Kissimmee Prairie, Osceola County, Florida, by Donald J. Nicholson, with Wray H. Nicholson. Close by and a few yards distance were scattered round, clumps of saw palmettoes and a fence. Another Killdeer nest— set 3/4—was discovered ¾ mile South of this nest."
