Abstract
The publication date refers to the date of collection. A likely female white-tailed pintail (Anas bahamensis), also known as the Bahama pintail, collected by Gardner Perry near Banana River in Cape Canaveral. It is a medium-sized duck with spotted feathers and a red patch on the sides of its beak. The photo was taken by Wes Biggs on December 10, 1980.
