Abstract

The publication date refers to the date of collection. A female red-billed tropicbird (Phaethon aethereus) lies side by side with a white-tailed tropicbird (Phaethon lepturus) for comparison from a dorsal view. The white-tailed tropicbird can be identified by its lighter orange-yellow bill.
