Abstract

The publication date refers to the date of collection. A male black-throated loon, also called an Arctic loon (Gavia arctica), collected by Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Shores. It has mostly black plumage on its upper body. The photo was taken by Wes Biggs.
