Abstract
A hand holds up a perched albino chipping sparrow (Spizella passerina). The bird was fed much of winter 1979-1980 and again in winter 1980-1981 by Gainesville, Florida, resident Clayton Byrd at his home. Byrd trapped the bird in winter of 1981. Unlike other chipping sparrows, the bird's head and feathers are almost all white. Some small black feathers can be see in the bird's tail and wings.
