Abstract

Dr. Gordon Fox is an emeritus professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at USF. He was the chair of the USF Forest Preserve Advisory Board from 2006 to 2018. He discusses the role of the Forest Preserve in teaching classes and in research as well as its biogeographical significance. Issues he dealt with as the chair of the USF Forest Preserve Advisory Board, especially those in relation to the USF administration and funding, are reviewed. He also speaks on the potential role the Forest Preserve could have in the broader Tampa community.
