Note
Davis Islands was built upon two small natural islands known as Little Grassy Key and Big Grassy Key near the mouth of the Hillsborough River in the 1920s. The islands were named after Tampa native David Paul (D.P.) Davis, a developer. Most of the architecture on the islands is built in the Mediterranean style.
