Note
The Dam was originally built in 1897 on the Hillsborough River and dynamited by local cattlemen on December 13, 1898. It was rebuilt in 1899 when these pictures were taken. The Consumers Electric Light and Street Car Company was acquired by Tampa Electric Company in late 1899. Original photos from the Tampa Electric Company archives and donated to USF Libraries by the Tampa Historical Society.
