Abstract
Interview with Mrs. Peggy Barnes, a retired executive secretary with the State of Florida. Barnes worked for the Office of Public Health for nearly thirty-five years and played an important role in the office’s transition from Jacksonville to Tallahassee. As the executive secretary to the State Health Officer, Barnes worked for many leaders in the department including Florida’s public health pioneer and former Dean of the University of South Florida College of Public Health, Dr. Charles Mahan.
