Abstract
The first volume of Ellis Hughes' diary kept during the Second Seminole War and his tour of duty as an Assistant Surgeon in Florida during the years 1838-1840. In addition, Hughes provides a visual dimension with sketches of the people and places he visited.

La primera volumen de Ellis Hughes' diario durante el Segunda Guerra Semínola y su período de servicio como cirujano asistente en Florida durante los años 1838-1840. Además, Hughes aporta una dimensión visual con bosquejos de la gente y los lugares que visita.
