Excerpt: “A growing body of literature suggests that conversations about emotions between parents and children may be important catalysts in promoting early socioemotional development (Denham & Auerbach, 1995)….The present study is unique in that we explored early emotion talk by both mothers and fathers and traced the stability of such talk over time…” (p.115)
