Abstract

PDF version of a PowerPoint used by Schnur to describe historic milestones between the beginning of the First Spanish Period (1513) and the transfer of East Florida and West Florida to the United States as a territory under the Adams-Onis Treaty of 1819. The United States formally took possession of Florida after Congress ratified the treaty in 1821.
