Abstract

This article described events at USF St. Petersburg that commemorated the 150th anniversary of statehood (1845-1995). The author also described notable Floridiana collections at the USF Tampa Library and USF St. Petersburg's Nelson Poynter Memorial Library.

Comments

The USF St. Petersburg Campus Lecture Series offered a two-week program in February/March 1995 to celebrate the sesquicentennial of Florida statehood. The author, a member of the Campus Lecture Series and graduate student at the time, wrote this article to publicize the events at USF St. Petersburg and notable library collections within the system of USF Libraries.
