Abstract
Emily Holbrook interviews Sheryl Bowman about her involvement in the Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program (ELAPP). Bowman speaks of her college years in Tampa and how she first got involved in environmental conservation and in particular the Environmental Protection Commission. Bowman talks about what prescribed burning (also called a controlled burn) is and why it's beneficial to the environment as well as ELAPP's purchase of lands for conservation. Finally, Bowman talks about the importance of ELAPP and interactions she's had with the public over it.
