Abstract
In this research study, educators reveal that as they learned technology, their teaching practice was impacted through personal change and professional development. The research method includes data gathered through an assessment instrument, follow-up interviews, and journal entries. Analysis of responses reveals guidelines for Adult Basic Education (ABE) teacher education and professional development, and ways in which ABE teachers can apply technology in their classrooms. Technology education for adult educators including hands-on experience, reflection, and dialogue promotes perspective transformations that empower and change the way educators look at their classrooms and their practice.
