Abstract
Although the field of Adult Basic Education (ABE) has not been the focus of transformational learning research to a great extent, this research article examines how transformational learning was experienced and facilitated in one such classroom. Analyzing qualitative data gathered from 19 participants reveals findings that include themes of the perspective transformation, contributors, and an emphasis on personal learning. Implications and recommendations include suggestions for instructional strategies, program planning and assessment, and further research.
