Abstract
This paper presents the evaluation of research performance or efficiency of a national R&D program (the 21st Century Frontier R&D Program), invested by the Korean government. Performance evaluation of the R&D program is important for continuous improvement of the program. The super efficiency model was used to get the overall rank of sub projects, supported financially by the R&D program with multiple input and output factors of research activity. The efficiency values and rank are analyzed in relation to some environmental factors of sub projects.
