Abstract
The first of two folders of materials relating to the suspension of English professor Dr. Sheldon Grebstein. Included is a statement from Grebstein defending his choice to use an article about Jack Kerouac and the Beatniks in his course as well as a draft letter from the University of South Florida's (USF) chapter of the American Association of University Professors. Documents mention the work of the Florida Legislative Investigation Committee (often called the Johns Committee).
