Abstract

Oil pollution in or near coastal areas of Pinellas County, Florida. A collision between two barges and a freighter in 1993 caused oil to spill into Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, and local waterways.

Alt Text

A sandy beach with tire tracks leading to the water's edge, under a partly cloudy sky. Wooden crates sit on the beach to the left and garbage lies close to the ocean on the shore. The ocean waves gently lap against the shore.
