Abstract

Oil pollution in or near coastal areas of Pinellas County, Florida. A collision between two barges and a freighter in 1993 caused oil to spill into Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, and local waterways.

Alt Text

A long pier extends into the ocean from a sandy beach, with buildings and roads visible along the shoreline. The water surrounding the pier is calm and clear.
