Abstract
Corridor planning is a mechanism used by many states, to strengthen the link between transportation and land use planning. There is a pressing need for local governments and states to coordinate land use planning within and along designated future transportation corridors, to promote orderly growth and maintain the integrity of the corridor for transportation purposes. This paper presents a suggested approach for developing a corri4or management plan, based upon a review of the literature and case examples of best practices in corridor (access) management planning.
