Abstract
E.J. Salcines presents a narrated historical account focused on the second-floor foyer of El Círculo Cubano de Tampa, describing its function as an interpretive space leading to the theater and displaying a timeline of the building's history. The narration documents the Cuban Club's role as a social, cultural, and mutual aid center for Cuban immigrants and their families, including membership growth during the 1920s, wartime service during WWII, and the provision of medical benefits to members and their families. The account also traces the postwar decline, linked to changes in the cigar industry, suburbanization, and subsequent renovation efforts led by the Cuban Club Foundation, beginning in the 1960s and 1990s.
