Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Church was founded in 1903 in the Gas Plant neighborhood. The church building pictured was built in the 1970s at 301 10th Street S., (now 1010 Third Ave. S), in St. Petersburg, Florida. The church was razed in the 1980s to make way for Tropicana Field. The congregation moved instead to a church at 3455 26th Ave. S., where it is today.
