The Stewart-Isom Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church started in 1911 as Stewart's Chapel CME at Eighth Street and Lincoln Court S. in St. Petersburg. In 1985, they moved to their current location at 1820 Walton Street S. and became Stewart-Isom Memorial CME. The "Isom" in the name comes from Bishop Dotcy Isom's father.
