Dr. James C. Goss was the associate dean of St. Petersburg Junior College (now St. Petersburg College). He also had been inducted into the Kentucky State University Basketball Hall of Fame and appointed to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He married Dr. Theresa Carter. Theresa Carter directed St. Petersburg Junior College's library.
