Note
Joseph Waller now goes by the name Omali Yeshitela. He is the co-founder and current chairperson of the African People's Socialist Party. He was involved in the Civil Rights Movement in St. Petersburg and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). In 1966, he tore down murals depicting racist tropes on City Hall and was sentenced to five years in a Florida state prison.
