Abstract
This report updates the Florida Technology Development Index extending data from 1997-2000 to 2005. Prepared by the Center for Economic Development Research at USF, it compares Florida's manufacturing productivity with Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas. The report uses U.S. Census Bureau data to analyze employment, value-added in manufacturing, and productivity per employee, highlighting the impact of increased productivity on economic competitiveness and living standards.
