Abstract
President Carter is a Nobel Peace Prize recipient (2002) and worked tirelessly along with his wife and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, striving for peace and human rights, and actively engaged in Habitat for Humanity. He and Rosalynn promoted social justice and human rights through their life work. Both Jimmy and Rosalynn attended school in Plains, Georgia, and the high school today serves as the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park headquarters and is an interpretive museum.
