Abstract
This is an oral history interview with Julian Lane, mayor of Tampa from 1959 to 1963. In this interview, he discusses some of the growth and development issues the city faced during his administration. He describes the annexation of Port Tampa, urban renewal projects, the construction of Curtis Hixon Hall, and desegregation.
