Abstract
The Studio@620 announces a special event fundraiser with iconic comedian and social justice activist Dick Gregory. His social satire paved the way for future African American comedians and his activism included struggles for civil rights, economic reform, anti-drug issues, anti-war efforts, political campaigns and more. Proceeds raised from this event will benefit the National Congress of Black Women, Inc., The Higgins Alcohol and Addiction Research Program, The Studio@620 educational initiatives. The evening will include a performance and speech from Mr. Gregory followed by a question and answer session.
