Abstract

The Studio@620 and The Florida Humanities Council welcome Phyllis McEwen as she brings to life Zora Neale Hurston's folklore. The evening will showcase the work songs, creation myths, spirituals and comedy that Zora collected in the turpentine camps and jook joints of Florida during her tenure with the WPA.
