Abstract
For many artists, nature is both sanctuary and inspiration. This exhibition of artwork by Rose Marie Prins has been inspired by her passion for nature and her observations and experiences visiting places as near as Florida’s freshwater springs and as far as India’s Yamuna River. Prins creates visual meditations on the condition and meaning of our aquatic treasures. These places of sanctuary are threatened by pollution and yet nature finds ways to persevere. Viewers are invited to share their thoughts and concerns about Earth’s waterways, once pristine sanctuaries, as well as share observations of signs, however small, of hope and ingenuity.
