Abstract

The Studio@620 presents “Journey to Greatness”, the first of six Project GenYes! artist accelerator programs funded by a grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. “Journey to Greatness” is a new work by creator, art maker, and force Sir Brock about self-discovery in which he transforms his triumphant life struggles into empowering works of art. It features an ensemble of spectacular dancers, a multimedia installation and original music created by Nico Warren and Ryan Copeland of Nic & Ryan Productions in collaboration with Sir Brock. Blending the urban experience, the African diaspora, the avant-garde, pop culture, and classical movement, Sir Brock aims to empower people to live masterfully; creating the lives they yearn to live. “Being great is not a destination, it is an awareness and a direct connection to your true self.”—Sir Brock
