Abstract

Black Swans are native to Australia and Tasmania. Typically, they are found along inland waterways, rivers, sewage ponds, and coastal lagoons and inlets, and sometimes flocks together in enormous numbers on large wetlands. Frequent in waterfowl collections in domesticated settings, they now occur in Japan, eastern China, more densely in Europe and Iceland, and commonly in scattered urban centers in the USA.
