Abstract
The Mallard is one of the most widely distributed ducks in the world with breeding populations found on 3 continents. It is also known as an uncommon to common resident throughout Florida derived from domestic stock. It has become established mostly in urban areas around the large population centers of Tampa/St. Petersburg, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
