Abstract

The play, set in 19th-century Madrid, follows a girl named O who has lost her godfather's pet parrot. She hurriedly writes an ad in the paper offering a large reward for its return before he can find out it is lost.
Premiered at Zarzuela Theater on October 3, 1873.
