Abstract
Joseph C. Myrick provides insight into the history of St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa Florida in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Myrick who grew up in St. Petersburg is the son of Joseph Myrick, Jr. (who grew up Tampa) and Audrey Dixon (who grew up in Clearwater). In this interview Myrick describes his connections to Clearwater (the Heights community; Bethany CME; and Greenwood Cemetery) via his mom’s family and his connections to St. Petersburg (Gibbs HS; Queensboro Ave., S, Campbell Park, Webb City, Tropicana Field, and Central Ave) where he grew up.
