Author Biography

Janine Barchas is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Texas, where she teaches Austen in Austin. Her book Graphic Design, Print Culture, and the Eighteenth-Century Novel (CUP, 2003) won the SHARP Award. Her new book, called Matters of Fact in Jane Austen: History, Location, and Celebrity, will be published by Johns Hopkins UP in August 2012.
