Abstract
A two-day lesson plan for high school social studies students that uses historical maps and primary sources to investigate the disappearance of Evergreen Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida. Students examine the cemetery's erasure beneath Tropicana Field, analyze archival maps from the Black Cemetery Network and St. Petersburg Times, and participate in a Socratic seminar exploring the social, environmental, and civic implications of building over burial grounds.
